Velocity Credit Union Awards $2,500 To Grand Opening Contest Winner,Donates $2,000 To Austin Dog Alliance

Alicia Nelson of Cedar Park received a $2,500 award from Velocity Credit Union on Aug. 10. The prize came at the end of a month-long celebration marking the opening of Velocity’s newest branch, at 1230 E. New Hope Road in Cedar Park. Nelson’s name was randomly selected from more than 500 entries.

In addition to the $2,500 prize, Velocity raised $2,000 for Austin Dog Alliance, a charitable Cedar Park organization that improves the lives of veterans, students and senior citizens through the powerful connection between dogs and humans.
