Social Media

You like us — you really like us!

We want to be wherever you are, and we know that (like us) many of you are on social media. We’ve found that Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube are great outlets for sharing important information, interacting with our members, and just plain having fun. Take a look at how we use these sites to stay in touch with you, then join us there:

Velocity Credit Union on Facebook

Facebook

Our Facebook friends depend on our page for useful information about Velocity events, sponsorships, contests, etc. We also post timely information about temporary branch closures and other things that might affect you. Outside of our own website, Facebook is our main platform to interact with you — we often solicit your photos and opinions, and many of our members share our posts and leave positive reviews about our services and staff. Friend us here and keep in touch!

Velocity Credit Union on Instagram

Instagram

This is where we post photos of our staff participating in the community, dressing up for holidays, making improvements at our facilities, and generally having a good time. Frankly, it’s one of the only places a financial institution is allowed to be a bit silly. More entertaining than informational (though there’s some of that, too!), our Instagram page is a great place to get a feel for Velocity’s personality.

Twitter

Like many organizations, we use Twitter primarily as a venue for our newsier content. If a branch closes due to a busted water pipe, for example, or you’ve helped us raise lots of money for the Central Texas Food Bank, you’ll read about it here. We tweet fun items and photos too, though — it’s not just for news hounds.

YouTube

What’s an electronic screen without video? This is where we post all of our video content, including fun FAQ’s, staff videos and our latest commercial spots. Still photos are great, but we also like to move it, move it, move it!
