New Hope celebrates first anniversary

Velocity’s northward expansion reached a milestone recently as Cedar Park’s New Hope branch completed its first year in business. The branch opened in June, 2016.

The occasion was marked with a celebration where Velocity movers and shakers hosted the Cedar Park Chamber of commerce July meet-up. Credit union members and employees rubbed shoulders with Chamber representatives and members, making new connections and spreading the word about Velocity’s terrific products and services.

The branch also celebrated its anniversary with a month-long promotion during which new members received a Yeti tumbler upon opening a new account along with a Rewards Debit card. The promo was accompanied by a contest which saw winners Sharon M. and her husband, Tony, taking home a Big Green Egg ceramic smoker and accessories valued at more than $1,000. The couple has banked with Velocity for more than 25 years and – since Tony works in the meat department at a supermarket – we’re betting they can find something to toss onto that fancy grill.
