Mobile Wallet

A mobile wallet is an alternate payment channel, which allows you to securely make purchases at participating stores and within apps using your smart phone or device.

How it works

The app creates a unique device account number associated with your card.  Your Velocity card number will not be passed to a merchant; therefore, your receipts will show the last four (4) digits of your device account number, not your card number.

  2. Samsung Pay
  3. Android Pay

How to get started

  • Confirm your iPhone or iPad has at least version iOS 8.1 or newer.
  • In "Settings", open Passbook (now called Wallet on iOS9), then "Apple Pay", and select “Add Credit or Debit Card” to pair your Velocity debit or credit card.
  • Follow the prompts on the screen to add your card to PassBook/Wallet.

You can get all the same benefits from Velocity and Mastercard by making it your primary card of choice. Just go to "Settings,” tap "Wallet & Apple Pay,” then tap "Default Card" and choose your Velocity Mastercard.

Using Apple Pay Apple Pay

Look for these symbols at participating checkouts. Open Apple Pay on your device, select your Velocity debit or credit card, place your thumb on the Touch ID pad and hold your phone near the reader and that’s it.

FAQs and participating locations –

If a merchant asks for the last four digits of your card when using Apple Pay with your Velocity card, be sure to provide the last four digits of the Apple Pay Device Account Number. You can find this by tapping the "i" icon on your card in the Wallet app. Click here for participating stores. You can still use your Velocity card as usual outside of Apple Pay.
