Monthly Service Fee: The $6 monthly service fee is waived with qualifying monthly activity. APY = Annual Percentage Yield. 2.25% APY is variable, applies to Rewards Checking balances up to $15,000 when qualifying monthly activity requirements are met. Balances over $15,000 earn 0.05% APY. The rates are subject to change after account opening. Refer to the current Deposit Rate sheet. Fees may reduce earnings on the account. Federally insured by NCUA.
Overdraft Protection: A $5.00 fee is charged per overdraft transfer. Overdraft Transfer Fee may be imposed on ACH transactions, check drafts, and debit card purchases where applicable. Velocity Credit Union does not guarantee payment of all overdrafts and may decline to pay an overdraft at any time without prior notice.
Refer A Friend: Referred member must open a new Velocity checking account and meet qualifying requirements, e.g., completes 10 debit and/or credit card purchases within 60 days (excluding ATM transactions), AND complete one (1) electronic deposit of $250 or more (ACH, Mobile Deposits, or Zelle Deposits). No minimum balance required to earn the reward. Reward paid within 2-3 weeks of referral qualification completion. Program limits apply; maximum 10 rewards or $500 in rewards per calendar year.
