Founded in 1947 as Austin Municipal Federal Credit Union, we initially served City of Austin employees. In 1998, we became Austin Metropolitan Financial Credit Union (AMFCU) to reflect our growing membership. In 2003, we rebranded as Velocity Credit Union, expanding our membership and renewing our purpose.
