An important message to all Velocity team members (3/27/2020)

Wow! What a week we have been through! A huge thanks to all of you, both those working onsite and those working from home. The work that you’re doing is very important work that is vital to the critical infrastructure of our country and you are doing nothing less than a phenomenal job! You are pulling together while staying apart and the teamwork you are exhibiting is remarkable.

More of our back office folks are able to work remotely and more will be added in the coming days. This has allowed a substantial increase in social distances in all departments and branches that should easily allow individuals to maintain the proper distance outlined in medical advisories. Please follow the distancing guidelines all the time, every day.

The new PTO guidelines are working as intended. Our goal is to take care of you the best way we know how.

Fiserv planning meetings happened this week involving representatives from all departments. Believe it or not, this project is moving forward despite the crisis. Very impressive! We plan to delay the launch of our new Account Opening system since now is not a good time to try and implement a new product and procedures to support it. This will also allow our Temenos teams to focus on fine-tuning loan processing and collections functions. For now, we will leave our existing online Account Opening links up. They work just fine, they don’t look great on mobile devices, but members and prospective members can still use them.

Those working at Quarry Lake have no doubt already seen the security guard stationed in the south lobby. The guard is there to ensure that ARC patients use the north lobby. ARC is greeting all patients at the door and screening them before allowing entry. The foot traffic related to ARC patients is way down.

On a personal note, my husband is “older” and has underlying health issues that could have a very bad outcome if he contracts this nasty virus. As a result, I am working from home and staying home until it is safe for me to be back out in the public without endangering his health or ultimately his life. I sure do miss seeing your faces!

Each day that passes is another step toward beating this crisis and getting the world back to some type of new normal. Thank you for being part of the Velocity team and please have a relaxing, safe and wonderful weekend!

Be well,
Debbie
